Size Guide & Instructions

Size Guide & Instructions

At HikingGlobe, we want you to find the right fit for your gear the first time. This guide will help you choose the correct size for jackets, sleeping bags, and backpacks. Please measure carefully before ordering. If you are between sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger size for comfort.

Sleeping Bags

How to Choose the Right Size:

  • Regular: Suitable for users up to 6 ft (183 cm) tall. Shoulder girth about 60 in (152 cm), hip girth about 56 in (142 cm).

  • Long: Suitable for users up to 6 ft 6 in (198 cm) tall. Shoulder girth about 64 in (163 cm), hip girth about 60 in (152 cm).
Tip: Always check the temperature rating of your sleeping bag. A snug fit is warmer, while a looser fit provides more comfort and movement.

Backpacks

How to Measure Your Torso Length:

  1. Tilt your head forward and locate the bony bump where your shoulders meet your neck (C7 vertebra).

  2. Place your hands on your hips and find the top of your hip bones (iliac crest).

  3. Measure the distance between these two points — this is your torso length.
General Pack Sizes:

  • Small: Torso 16–18 in (41–46 cm), Capacity 30–35 L → Best for day hikes and short trips

  • Medium: Torso 18–20 in (46–51 cm), Capacity 35–45 L → Best for overnight trips

  • Large: Torso 20–22 in (51–56 cm), Capacity 45–60 L → Best for multi-day hikes
Tip: Always adjust the shoulder straps, hip belt, and sternum strap so the weight is evenly distributed.
